East Bethel 14, Ham Lake 4

It was a beautiful evening Monday night in Minneapolis. Luckily, the rain held off for the game between the East Bethel Bandits and the Ham Lake Hornets at Siebert Field.  The Bandits took to the plate first as the away team.  Ryan Hulke took the mound for the Hornets.  After 2 walks and 2 outs the Bandits struck first off of a triple by Tyler Marcio.  Marcio would score on a passed ball and the Bandits took a 3-0 lead.  Kirill Landry was on the bump for the Bandits.  After quick work in the first for Landry the Bandits put more on the board in the 2nd inning.  The Bandits added a pair of runs off two hits, including a triple by Mitch Shake to put the Bandits up 5-0.  The Hornets did bring a run home in the 2nd after a passed ball on a 3rd strike resulted in a runner advancing into scoring position, followed by a single from Dillon Titterud.  From there Kirill Landry was fantastic on the mound.  He struck out 18 batters on the evening.  The Bandits continued to produce fits of runs throughout the game.  The Hornets did find some life in the bottom of the 5th inning when Jake Mau hit a 2 run inside the park home run, but the Bandits followed it up with a 4 run inning to pull away.  Leading the Bandits in hits during the game was catcher Owen Rumpca.  Rumpca went 4 for 5 on the day with an RBI.  The game ended after the 8th inning with the Bandits leading 14-4.
