Tough Loss
On Wednesday night the Knights made the journey North to take on the Mora Blue Devils. Nowthen got on the board in the top of the first as Dustin and Zane scored on singles from Matt and Gavin. Mora answered back with one in the second. The Knights tacked another run on in the fourth after Trey came in on a single by Russ. In the bottom of the frame the Blue Devils took the lead 4-3.
That lead would be short lived as Nowthen plated three in the top of the fifth. Zane led the inning off with a double and latered scored on a passed ball. Gavin got his second RBI when he singled bringing in Matt.
In the seventh things started the unravel as the Mora bats came alive. They would go on to push across four in the seventh and six in the eighth.
Hitting was led by Dustin 3 for 4. Matt, Gavin, and Russ all had multiple hits on the day.
On the mound Matt Vee got the start and surrendered four in four innings. Grant Kotaska got his first action on the mound getting two innings of work in.
This is a tough loss that the scoreboard doesnt indicate how the game actually went. We played well, our bats looked good and there was production all over the lineup with guys stepping up when it was needed. Lets keep that same energy and approach going as we finish up the regular season.
