INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENTS
 

 

The Hinckley Knights will host three invitational tournaments in 2026.

Our tournaments draw strong competitors from across the state, testing skill and stamina.  Fan favorites, the three-day, double-elimination events and our new 2 day Champions Tourney at historic Brennan Field feature our top-notch concession stand with hot dogs, burgers, 8 taps along with other choice adult and family friendly beverages, popcorn, peanuts, sunflower seeds, soda, Gatorade and much more, plus a covered grandstand and a party deck, plenty of music and great small-town atmosphere. It's a great place for teams and fans to enjoy a summer weekend!

 

The first is an eight-team tournament June 5th, 6th, and 7th, The Brennan Field Classic. The teams participating are  Ada, Andover, Forest Lake, Metro Knights, Minneapolis North Stars, Moorhead Brewers, Sartell Muskies and the host Hinckley Knights.

The second event is one of Minnesota amateur baseball's great mid-season traditions, the long-running Hinckley Invitational Tournament, June 26th, 27th, and 28th. Also an eight-team tournament, the field includes the Anoka Bucs, Bemidji Bucks, Buffalo Bulldogs, Centennial Cougars, Elrosa, Maple Plain, St. Wendel, and the host Hinckley Knights.

Our third tournament is new this season and is called The Champions Tournament.  Invited teams were those who won their, region, district or section and/or had nice runs in the state tournament the previous season.  The tournament will be a classic 4 team tournament this year with hopes of growing in future season. The tourney will start with  2 games on Saturday, July 18th.  The third place and championship games will take place on Sunday, July 19th.   Teams playing in year one of this event will be the Champlin Park LoGators who were the champions of section 3A and class A state runners up,  Macs Industrial Warriors (formerly Lyons Pub Warriors), who were the champios of section 4A last season and semi-finalists in last year;s class A state tourney, the St. Anthony Hogs, who were the champions of section 7A last season, and the host Hinckley Knights, who were the champions of District 1B last season.
