"For more than 40 years, Jim Jarvis served the Metro and Eastern Minny Leagues as an umpire and assignor. Not only is Jim well-respected for his on field work as a top-tier official, but his best known for his demeanor, honesty, and mentorship to countless umpires that have worked games for and with him. To induct Jim as the inaugural member of the East Central Umpires Hall of Fame is a no-brainer, and we could not be more proud of Jim's service and dedication, as well as thankful for his hard work and friendship."
